THE CLUB
GET BETTER AT SPEAKING BY ACTUALLY SPEAKING
Rhino Toastmasters has met every Tuesday in downtown San Francisco since 1998. Our club of 25 people is part of the Toastmasters International organization, and uses the Toastmasters learning framework to guide members and run our club.
We’re a group of people who want to become better speakers, leaders, and community members. We believe the best way to get there is to practice, give ourselves the opportunity to rise to the occasion, and get feedback.

A TUESDAY AT RHINO TOASTMASTERS
Meetings run on a friendly, well-kept clock. Here's the shape of our evening.
5:45 PM
Doors & Mixer (snacks, name tags, hellos)
Call to Order (the Toastmaster of the evening takes the room)
6:15 PM
Prepared Speeches (2-3 speeches, 5–7 minutes each)
6:30 PM
Table Topics (impromptu answers to surprise questions; guests can pass or play)
7:00 PM
Evaluations (every speaker gets warm, specific feedback)
7:15 PM
Adjourn (officially, anyway — most people linger)
7:45 PM
MORE THAN A SPEAKING CLUB
We host game nights, hikes, and parties. Once a quarter we volunteer together as a group.
BECOMING A RHINO

Tell us you're coming
Save your spot above. Your name will be on the front-desk list and we'll email you directions and what to expect.
Visit three times
Guests attend free. No pressure, no prep — just come watch a meeting happen.

Apply, and we vote you in
After your third visit, complete a short application. The club votes and a few days later you're a Rhino.

Begin your learning journey through Toastmasters' learning program.
ABOUT DUES
Membership dues are collected twice a year and include your Toastmasters International membership, which allows you to compete in international speaking contests, and Pathways learning materials. We'll walk you through the details when you apply.
